PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily decide the number of prints by obtaining the number of specified objects included in image data by a means for acquiring the number of objects and forming the prints based on the obtained number of objects. SOLUTION: A CPU 203 incorporates an object specifying means 204, and the means 204 has a function for specifying the object as a person, for example, for every image of the image data inputted into the CPU 203. Since the means 204 previously stores a figure or complexion peculiar to a human body, it discriminates only a human being by distinguishing the figure and the color thereof from those of other subjects such as an animal and still life, so that the number of persons included in the image is decided. On the basis of the result obtained by specifying the object, the CPU 203 arranges information for forming the print. That is, in printing orders for the image data, the CPU 203 judges the number of prints from the number of the persons included in necessary images and prints the images by this number.
