PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator enabling solution of the usual problem that it is difficult to heat efficiently a material to be dried, and the like, and drying equipment comprising the same. SOLUTION: An evaporator 20 is equipped with a casing (outer tube) 21 which has exhaust ports 23 and inside which the pressure can be reduced, and a charge opening 25 and a discharge opening 26 of a material to be dried are provided on the upper and lower sides of the casing 21 respectively. Besides, loading means 36 and 37 for loading and heating the material to be dried which is supplied from the charge opening 25 and moving means 44 and 45 for moving the material on the loading means 36 and 37 toward the discharge opening 26, etc., are disposed inside the casing 21.
