PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect an impulse signal. SOLUTION: The impulse signal detector 10 is provided with a detector 13 that detects an input signal, a full wave rectifier 20 that converts the polarity of a detection signal received from the detector 13 into only the positive polarity, a low pass filter 14 that limits a frequency of a rectified signal to a prescribed band, a peak detector 21 that holds a peak of the signal that is band- limited, an A/D converter 15 that samples an analog signal from the peak level detector 21 synchronously with a time reference pulse and converts the sampled analog signal into a digital signal, and a signal processing circuit 16 that gives the sampling signal to the A/D converter 15 on the basis of a signal from a clock 18 and gives a reset signal synchronously with the sampling signal with a temporal deviation to the peak level detector 21, respectively.
