PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a stray light which reaches thin film transistors and to prevent the deterioration in the picture quality of a projected image due to leaking of light. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel is produced by sealing a liquid crystal layer 2 between a substrate 3 for driving elements on which thin film transistors 18 and metal wirings 21, 24 are formed and a counter substrate 1 on which a common transparent electrode film 8 and a light-shielding film 7 are formed. In this panel, the light-shielding film 7 on the incident side of light consists of a high reflectance layer 5, while the light-shielding film 7 near the substrate for driving elements consists of a low reflectance layer 6. The light-shielding layer has a laminated structure of the high reflectance layer and the low reflectance layer. Preferably, the high reflectance layer is either an aluminum layer or a chromium layer, and the low reflectance layer is either a molybdenum silicide layer or a chromium oxide layer. |
