<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the dependability of the service of an agent by requesting a customer to visit the agent for article reception on the basis of predetermined data when an article arrives at the agent and blanking the required data when the article is received by the customer. SOLUTION: This system is constituted of a computer 1, a keyboard 2, a bar code reader 3, a modem 4, a communication line 5, a cellular telephone 6 and a pager 7. In such structure, when the article is received from a sender, a code, a message to the customer, for example the telephone number, name and desired agent, are attached to the article. Then the article is carried to the agent, the customer is contacted using the data attached to the article at the point of time when the article arrives at the agent, a fact that the article is at a receivable state is informed and the visit is request. When the customer visits the agent to receive the article, a series of slip codes is compared with the character message of the arrival of a parcel such as the customer's cellular telephone 6 and when the parcel is verified, it is transferred. Then the data attached to the article is blanked.</p> |
