The contactless information carrier collection device has an introduction shaft (2) for reception of the contactless information carrier (1), with scanning of the card information via a transmission/reception device (3) , for controlling opening of a base wall (4) at the bottom of the introduction shaft, allowing the information carrier to drop into a collection container (6). A shaft (7) below the opening base wall has a second transmission/reception device (8,9) for re-checking the information carried by the information carrier before it is allowed to drop into the collection container.
