PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electromagnetic shield applicable to a radiation generating apparatus over a wide range by composing the electromagnetic shield of tourmaline and a polymer composition, thereby canceling and neutralizing electromagnetic radiation. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic shield 20 comprises a disc of 25-cent coin size, composed of ultrafine powder (grain size of about 3 microns) of particulate tourmaline stone, a kind of gem, and a polymer composition of porous resin, e.g. high-density polyethylene. Such an electromagnetic shield 20 composition is set in a telephone slave unit 500 and can be machined into any shape and size of television, microwave oven, dashboard of automobile, facsimile, and the like. It is applicable to a wide range of radiation generating apparatus and can cancel and neutralize electromagnetic radiation.
