PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both operability and working efficiency for an image processing method by canceling automatically the immediately preceding image processing before the new image processing is carried out. SOLUTION: An option is selected out of a pull-down menu during the display of a work screen and then the initialization is selected from the option. Thus, an option window 170 of the color number 1 is opened and displayed on the work screen. Then the automatic cancel of the color number 1 is selected in the window 170 and a marking 176 included in a check box 174 is operated. In other words, a pointer is set to the box 174 via a mouse, etc., and the marking 176 is alternately displayed and erased every time the mouse is clicked. The display state of the marking 176 sets an automatic cancel function. An operator sets his/her desired state and operates an execution button 178 to update the color number 1 option mode and also to close the window 170.
