A METHOD OF TRANSFERRING INDIVIDUAL OBJECTS TO A PALLET-LOADED UNIT

The present invention relates to a method of marshalling together individual objects (1) to a pallet-loaded unit (2). The individual objects (1) are grouped in a preselected packing pattern, which constitutes one layer (5) in a pallet unit (2). The objects (1) are transferred to an interlay sheet (6). The edges of the interlay sheet (6) may be folded so that they form a frame (10), and when the interlay sheet (6) is placed in the pallet unit (2), the frame (10) supports two layers (5) of objects (1). The interlay sheet (6) is folded in a workstation (21), whereafter a workstation (30) with a gripper head (23) fetches, transports horizontally and deposits the interlay sheet (6) with the marshalled objects (1). A workstation (24) detects the surface on which the interlay sheet (6) with the objects (1) is to be placed and gives information to the workstation (30) so that the interlay sheet (6) and the objects may be placed exactly and gently.
