PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for forming a color image capable of exactly positioning the color image. SOLUTION: This image treating device is provided with color image forming devices 310-340 disposed along a belt 350 of a photosensitive body on which the color image is formed and censors 352, 354 which detect transverse positions of the belt 350 of the photosensitive body. Thereby, the amount of skew of the photosensitive belt 350 between the two censors 352, 354 is determined and, by controlling the starting point of scanning of the color image forming device in accordance with the amount of skew, the positioning of the image on the photosensitive belt is performed. |
