<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly close piping to convey gas or a fluid medium. SOLUTION: This device closes a pipe, such as a conveyance piping, especially for gas or a fluid medium and comprises an annular carrier 1 extending across the passage of a pipe in relation to a plurality of plates 2 pivotally supported at the side wall of the annular carrier 1; a control ring 6 arranged co-axially with the annular carrier 1 and engaging with all the plates 2. Since the control ring 6 and the carrier 1 are mutually rotatable on a common central axis, the plates 2 are movable from a first position where the passage is released to a second where the passage is closed and reversely to the above. In the device to close the pipe, each plate 2 is formed in a triangular shape and a pivotal point 3 on the carrier 1 is situated at outside of the triangle and the triangular plates 2 accurately close the passage in cooperation with each other.</p> |
