DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SIMULATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the operation of the entire system even when all pieces of equipment are not ready and when equipment which is difficult to be verified by actually operating it is included by providing a managing means to synchronize existing equipment with virtual equipment. SOLUTION: A simulation managing part 9 is provided with a shared memory and areas corresponding to input/output signals I/O of the pieces of existing equipment 1 to 3 and areas corresponding to input/output signals corresponding to input/output signals I/O of pieces of the virtual equipment 4 to 6 are allocated on the shared memory. Switching between the existing equipment 1 to 3 and virtual equipment 4 to 6 are executed by a switching device 8. Namely, an input/output signal (an input/output signal I/O of the existing equipment or an input/output signal of the virtual equipment) to be used when simulation is executed based on switching information. Since the simulation is executed by partially using the virtual equipment, a control program is easily tested by executing the simulation of the entire system even at a state that no peripheral equipment can not be prepared.
