PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform various operations and control over display by making the number of signal lines less than that when a parallel connection is made. SOLUTION: To control keys 2a to 2d, LEDs 3a to 3d, and an LCD 4 from an I/F controller 7 side, the I/F controller 7 sends signals for controlling those elements in series to an IC 5 with a JTAG function. The IC 5 once receiving the serial signal from the I/F controller 7 analyzes the serial signal to control the keys 2a to 2d, LEDs 3a to 3d, and LCD 4.
