PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve outward appearance by mitigating the difference in level generated on the front face or on the peripheral face of a clock frame caused by the difference between coefficients of contraction of each wooden piece composing the clock frame. SOLUTION: A rectangular wooden clock frame 9 has such a formation that an upper board 23 corresponding to an upper side, a lower board 24 corresponding to a lower side, a left-side board 25 corresponding to a left side, and a right-side board 26 corresponding to a right side are joined to form a frame. On a joined face between the upper board 23 and the left-side board 25, on a joined face between the upper board 23 and the right-side board 26, on a joined face between the lower board 24 and the left-side board 25, and on a joined face between the lower board 24 and the right-side board 26, cylindrical wooden fixing pins 27 are installed respectively on both-side parts of the center part in the depth direction of the clock frame 9 as a boundary, and simultaneously on the parts nearer to the peripheral face of the clock frame 9 than the center part in the width direction of the clock frame 9, and each board on both sides is connected and fixed respectively with the joined face as a boundary through the fixing pins 27.
