PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic detection device capable of detecting external magnetic field with high sensitivity and improving the reliability of the results of magnetic detection. SOLUTION: This magnetic detection device is provided with a magnetic sensor 15 in which a wire i2 is wound around a ribbonlike amorphous core 14, an excitation current generation part 10 supplying a pulselike excitation current Ip to the wire 12 to excite the amorphous core 14, detection voltage output parts 16, 17, 19, 20, 22 demodulating an induced voltage VT generated between both end parts 12A and 12B of the wire 12 to output a detection voltage Vo and a switch part 25 provided between both end parts 12A, 12B of the wire 12 and the excitation current generation part 10 to exchange both end parts 12A, 12B of the wire 12 alternately.
