PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a temperature-measuring device for measuring gas temperature in real time and to improving resolution. SOLUTION: In gas, an ultrasonic transmission element 1 and a reflection plate 22 are arranged with an interval of distance L/2, and an ultrasonic wave is discharged from the ultrasonic transmission element 1 so that it hits against the reflection plate 22 and time Ts until the reflection wave returns is measured, thus obtaining a sound velocity Vs from the following calculation expression, narmely Vs=L/Ts[m/sec]. Since the relationship between the sound velocity and temperature in air is expressed by Vs=331.5+0.607T[m/sec] when T[ deg.C] is set to air temperature, temperature is calculated from an expression obtained by changing the above expression, namely T=(Vs-331.5)/0.607[ deg.C].
