PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the power supply stop of a printer in accordance with the state of the printer and to prevent the loss of received print data. SOLUTION: A communication port controlling part 6 controls a communication port 10 performing communication with a host device, and when a power supply switching part is turned off according to the state of the power supply switching part 3 which is transmitted by a power supply switch monitoring part 2, the part 10 is made incommunicable just after print data reception is completed. A printer operation monitoring part 1 transmits the information of the port 10 together with the information of a cut paper sensor part 7, a cut paper driving part 8 and a reception data buffer part 9 to a power supply judging part 4, and when the part 4 judges that the power supply switch is off and also that the printer does not operate, it stops power supply from a power supply device 5. |
