<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize image density and to prevent toner scattering and surface staining by using developer showing that a value obtained by substituting electrifying amount between two points where toner concentration is different, the average particle diameter of toner and the average particle diameter of carrier in a specified expression is equal to or above a specified value. SOLUTION: The electrifying amount of the developer is easily changed according to service environment even when the toner concentration is constant. For example, the electrifying amount thereof easily gets high on a low- temperature and low-humidity condition because of the influence of moisture. On the other hand, it easily gets low on a high-temperature and high-humidity condition. After forming the developer by mixing the toner and the carrier used for two-component developer so that the toner concentration may be 1% and 3% with respect to the total amount of the toner and the carrier, the electrifying amount is measured, and the average particle diameter of the used toner, and the average particle diameter of the carrier are substituted in the expression (in the expression, A and B mean the electrifying amount (μC/g) obtained when the toner concentration is 1% and 3% respectively). Then, the developer showing that Y1 is >=0.085 is used.</p> |
