<p>In a snowboard with bindings (3) located in front of and behind the central part of the board respectively, each of the bindings (3) is placed on a spring device, with the result that the part of the binding on which the boots are placed does not touch the snowboard (1) during normal loading. The device's spring effect is substantially vertical. The spring device may be designed with a certain amount of elasticity in the board's longitudinal direction, while it has great rigidity across the board, with the result that when the skier presses the boot against one side, the board will follow without any substantial delay due to the spring device.
