<p>The invention concerns polypeptides carriers of amino acids, and more particularly glutamate or GABA, and peptide fragments thereof, the nucleotide sequences coding for such polypeptides or peptide fragments and recombinant vectors containing said nucleotide sequences. The invention also concerns means for detecting said polypeptides and nucleic acids, such as primers or nucleotide probes or antibodies, and detecting methods and kits using said detecting means. The invention further concerns methods for screening candidate molecules capable of inhibiting or on the contrary activating the transport of amino acids, and more particularly of glutamate or GABA.</p> |
