The roller is used in equipment for continuous mechanical handling such as conveyors. It is lightweight, its design is simplified and it ensures good airtightness of the bearing assemblies. It consists of a central axle (4) and casing of a welded pipe (1) and flanges (2). At the ends of the axle (4) and the ends of the internal cylindrical surfaces of the flanges (2) the following are mounted in succession: internal rings (11), bearings (10), internal (9) and external (8) labyrinth packings, washers (7), locking rings (6), caps (3) and seals (5). 1 claim, 1 figure
