The bath is used for tin-plating of steel products where the galvanization is more economical and the effect of the silicon content in the steel on the depth of the zinc-coating is reduced. The bath contains, in wt.%: from 3 to 15 tin, lead with saturation concentrzation from 0-0.06 of at least one of the elements of aluminium, calcium and magnesium, the remaining being zinc and other impurities.
