<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical fiber sensor capable of detecting efficiently displacement of a monitoring object relative to a monitoring position by utilizing an optical fiber. SOLUTION: This optical fiber sensor 4 is so composed that, when a detecting piece 4b installed freely displaceably on a sensor body 4a installed on the monitoring position 2a side or on a monitoring object 2b, generates displacement relative to the sensor body 4a, by receiving a displacement force from a member on the monitoring position 2a side or from the monitoring object 2b, or by being released from the displacement force from these articles, an optical fiber deformed part 4j is driven to give deformation, such as bending, elongation strain or the like, to an optical fiber 10.</p> |
