PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charger for surely recognizing a charging state in a battery. SOLUTION: A microprocessor detects switching operation of a setting current value of a multiple-stage constant-current battery charger 5, and lamps 1 to 4 are lighted up sequentially for each finished charging step to indicate the process of charging states. Only the last lamp corresponding the current charging step is indicated in a lighted state, so that the charging process in execution is clearly indicated.
