PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide jig for inserting a group of electrodes and a manufacturing method of a rectangular alkaline secondary battery using the same, capable of smoothly inserting a group of electrodes without damaging at insertion of the group of electrodes into a battery case. SOLUTION: This guide jig 2 for inserting a group of electrodes is arranged in an upper end opening part 1a of a battery case 1 and is used for inserting the group of electrodes 3 formed, by laminating a positive electrode and a negative electrode alternately via a separator. A frame body 2a, including an insertion hole 2b of the group of electrodes formed in a center part, and a rotating roller 4 for rotating while contacting with surfaces 3A, 3A of the inserted group of electrodes 3 with a part of a peripheral surface 4a exposed on an inner side of the frame body 2a are provided to the guide jig for inserting a group of electrodes.
