The test unit has a combination of valve-regulated pipelines and monitoring instruments connected to the thermostat. A main regulating valve for externally supplied nitrogen is connected to a main pipeline with three branch lines containing continuously adjustable regulating valves and connected to pressure measurement devices for measuring and indicating the pressure in the regulated nitrogen sub-flows. A pipe outlet line with an outlet valve for regulating the flow of excess nitrogen is connected to the main line before the branch. An Independent claim is also included for a method of functionally testing a temp. regulation thermostat.
