The socket has an accommodation chamber for electrical devices such as lights. sockets, terminals or similar elements of electrical installations with side walls (1), a bottom wall and an end wall (3) on the opposite end from the bottom wall, whereby the end wall has an essentially circular installation opening (4). The end wall has surface elements (5) outside the installation opening with attachment arrangements (6) or for mounting of attachment elements with which the socket can be fixed to shuttering or a panel.
