The connection between 2 abutting profile elements uses a connector (3) which is fitted into the end of one profile element (1), provided with at least one projecting locking pin (10),fitting into a respective opening in the side face of the other profile element (2), which is abutted against a stop edge (5) provided by the first profile element, extending beyond the connector. The first profile element has an opening (7) for insertion of a screw (8) which cooperates with the connector for pressing the second profile against the stop edge.
