The refrigerator has an internal chamber whose temp. can be lowered to below ambient temp. with the aid of a cooling device, esp. an evaporator, that protrudes into the internal chamber, thermally insulated walls and/or floor and/or top and/or doors and/or roller, whose internal surfaces represent boundaries between cold and hot that are inclined to the horizontal. The surface (5) and/or the evaporator has a rough surface structure consisting of peaks (1) and troughs (2) with a roughness depth of between 5 and 100 microns and a period of between 5 and 200 microns.
