PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method for updating a linear feedback shift register of a code generator. SOLUTION: In a basic method, a Galois linear feedback shift register of a code generator is updated to an object state from a unit state to an object state that is a known offset state. This method includes a step 302, where a binary offset number denoting an offset is generated, a step 304 where a count denoting number of bits of the binary offset number is generated, a step 306 where a temporal state by the unit state is initialized, a step 308 where steps 310, 312, 314 are repeated, while the count is larger than zero, a step 310 where a temporal state is multiplied with itself in application of Galois' field, a step 312 where a current temporal state is shifted to one preceding state when a bit of a counter is 1, a step 314 where the count is decremented by one, and a step 316 where an object state is set to the temporal state when the count reaches zero. |
