PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital image processor which allows an operator to select a file format in the case of storing image data in a storage device by utilizing a storage printing function. SOLUTION: This digital image processor 1 which is provided with a storage device 18 storing image data for being printed and outputted, an operating part 13 which can inputs an instruction that stores the image data in the device 18 and an instruction that prints and outputs the image data at a designated time and controlling parts 14 and 17 which control processing that stores the image data in the device 18 and processing that prints and outputs the image data at a prescribed time on the basis of the instruction from the part 13 or an instruction inputted from a host device 2, the parts 14 and 17 can select whether to make the file format of the image data to be stored in the device 18 an optional file format compressing data or an incompressible bitmap format in the case of executing processing that stores the image data in the device 18 according to an instruction from a host device 1.
