<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce radiation loss and reduce the size of a heat storage tank in a hot water supply machine. SOLUTION: A hot water supply machine comprises a heat pump 11 consisting of a compressor 12, a condenser 13, a decompressor 14 and an evaporator 15, a heat storage tank 16, a heat exchanger 24 which is heated by the heat of a combustion burner 23 provided midway of a hot water tap pipe 20 which is located between the tank 16 and an end faucet 21 for tapping hot water, a hot water temperature detecting means 17 for detecting hot water temperature in the tank 16, and a heat pump control means 25 for carrying out the operation of the heat pump with the temperature detected by the detector 17 being controlled not higher than a predetermined temperature. As the hot water temperature in the tank 16 is 50-55 deg.C which is the intermediate value of the boiling temperature of the heat pump, the radiation loss of the tank 16 is reduced. Further, when high temperature tapping is necessary, hot water can be supplied by combustion, thus reducing the size of the tank 16 to be a required minimum size.</p> |
