<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probing method capable of easily matching a position of a transmission and receiving device transmitting and receiving wave signals on the ground surface, ensuring practical probing speed, and providing high position measurement precision. SOLUTION: In this probing method, wave signals are radiated into medium while moving on the ground surface, a reflection signal from an object in the medium is received, four-dimensional data is generated using a position on the ground surface for a reflection signal intensity and a reflection time (t) in coordinates (x0, y0, z0, t), and a position of the object is detected based on the four-dimensional data. In this case, travel distance, travel direction, and inclination of a fixed wheel 7R supporting a transmission and receiving device 10 are measured by a range finder 19 and a three-axis angle sensor 29 provided on the fixed wheel 7R, a position coordinate of the fixed wheel 7R in a measurement coordinate system determined by a start point S of the fixed wheel 7R and its initial attitude and its attitude condition (X, Y, Z,δ,θ,ϕ) are calculated, and a predetermined position coordinate (X0, Y0, Z0) in the transmission and receiving device 10 is obtained based on the results.</p> |
