PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an object to be dried from becoming solid while it adheres to and is accumulated at each part of a container or an agitation wing or becoming solid in a mass in the container by placing a hard mass-shaped body that is agitated along with the object to be dried in the container. SOLUTION: A plurality of hard mass-shaped bodies 11 with a proper size being agitated by rotary wings 3A, 3B, and 3C along with an object to be dried are loaded into a container 1 and are agitated along with an object to be dried, thus allowing the hard mass-shaped bodies 11 to hit against the object to be dried that becomes hard due to the progress of drying and crushing the object to be dried that becomes solid. Each of the rotary wings 3A, 3B, and 3C is in a paired configuration for rotating two rotary wings where an outer end is close to the inner-periphery surface of the container 1 while shifting the rotary phase by 180 degrees each at the same direction in the direction of the cylindrical core of the container. At a drying region (a), four pairs of wings are aligned side by side in the direction of the container cylindrical core while the rotary phases of the adjacent pairs of wings are shifted by 90 degrees each, so that an agitation region spreads to the entire length of the drying treatment region (a) in the direction of the cylinder core of the container.
