PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic exchange which can efficiently cope with the communication of plural transfer rates and which can inexpensively be constituted by using a bus-type time divisional switch that can be exchanged to communication different in communication speed and burst data communication. SOLUTION: All reference clocks are supplied by a clock generator 132. Input/output port modules 101, 130 and 131 connected to an exchange bus usually fetch information of 8 bits unit at the timing of an arbitrary bus, insert it and execute an exchange operation. Data transfer clocks used in the time slots are selected from data transfer clock lines (1) to (3) 112 to 114 by a clock selector 102. A selected content is determined by a clock selection register 103. An input/output port side selects the time slot on the exchange bus in accordance with a content which is set in a control table 105 and inputs or outputs it to input/output ports 122 and 123. Thus, the channel of communication speed different by the bus-type time divisional switch is obtained.
