PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the size of the device of an optical waveguide wherein the degree of freedom on the arrangement of a light source is high and the interval of cores is more narrowed in the emitting end than the incident ends by constituting the device so that the directions of the optical axes of plural laser beams making incident on respective cores are not one. SOLUTION: In a multi-light source unit wherein an optical waveguide 2 is provided with plural cores 20a-20c through which laser beams pass and the interval between central axes of adjacent cores is more narrowed in the emitting end 2d than the incident ends 2a-2c, the directions of optical axes Ax of plural laser beams making incident on respective cores 20a-20c are constituted not to be one. According to this constitution, the degree of freedom of the arrangement of the laser beam source becomes high because the directions of plural laser beams making incident on respective cores are not one. Further, the length of the core required for constituting so that the laser beams in which the directions of the optical axes in the case of being made incident are not the same are lined up in parallel at the emitting end 2d is shortened, and the curved part of the core is also lessened. |
