Provided herein is a wood substitute composition that utilizes in its production heretofore unused waste material produced in the reclamation of nylon from discarded carpet, along with processes for producing the wood substitute composition. The wood substitute composition shares similar properties to wood, and hence has numerous applications in the building and construction industries.
