PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select part or all of a plurality of image files stored in a folder, to automatically set an appropriate layout on the basis of the number of selected image files, the image size when printed and the size of print paper and to improve the efficiency of preparation of index prints. SOLUTION: Images registered in the same folder are printed by selecting respective image icons 160, opening the printing item of an image list, and automatically setting a layout being suitable to a print paper size by performing the setting of the size of each image frame, the setting of attached printing specifications, and font setting and printer setting as necessitated. Then, troublesome operation procedures for layout setting are not needed at all, and the operation efficiency for index print preparation can be improved.
