PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a DC connection with a driven circuit without directly using a negative power source in the circuit. SOLUTION: A clamp circuit 18 and a level shift circuit 16 are connected to the output of a source follower circuit 14 connected to a positive power source and negative electric power is applied to the output terminal of the level shift circuit 16 through a transmission line 22 and a terminating resistance 24. A logical signal of CMOS level inputted to the source follower circuit 14 is shifted in level to the negative power side. At this time, while the signal is clamped by the clamp circuit 18, the level-shifted signal is further shifted in level to the negative power side by the level shift circuit 16 to generate a signal of ECL level across the terminating resistance 24 through the transmission line 22, so that the signal is applied to an ECL logic circuit 26.
