There is disclosed a laminated composite body (1) comprising an optical layer (2) having light reflectivity and a latent image forming layer (3) containing a polymer liquid crystal material and provided on one major surface of the optical layer (2), wherein the latent image forming layer (3) has at least one aligned part (3a) in an aligned state and at least one nonaligned part (3b) in a nonaligned state, a latent image that cannot be recognized by direct visual observation but can be recognized by visual observation using a polarizing member is formed in the aligned and nonaligned parts (3a, 3b). There are also disclosed an information recording medium having such a latent image forming layer (3) and a member for imparting counterfeit preventive function.
