A process for the production of a nanoparticle-containing medium, especially paint, in which the nanoparticles are produced by hydrolysis and condensation of metal alkoxide in the medium itself. An Independent claim is also included for a similar process using nanoparticles obtained by hydrolysis and condensation of silanes, also in the medium.
