Front and rear sides of each of balls are held by means of ball-supporting members (21) of a ball chain (20) in a loaded-ball running groove (10) and a loaded-ball running counter-groove (5), thus making it possible to prevent the ball from coming off. Depths of these grooves (5, 10) are increased by bringing opposing surfaces of the movable block and the guide rail into a closer relationship to the joint member. The cross-sectional shape of these grooves (5, 10) approximates a contour of the ball.
