PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an NMS(network management system) to manage low-order devices without registering by means of a manager. SOLUTION: A management device which is connected to a plurality of low-order devices and manages their operations is provided with a receiving means for receiving a report which is transmitted from the low-order device with fault occurrence among a plurality of devices and where the contents of a fault and an identifier by which the low-order device with the fault occurrence is discriminated from another low-order device are stored, a detecting means for detecting the transmission source of the report from the identifier which is stored in the received report, a judging means for judging the existence of the register of the low-order device being the transmission source of the report, a register means for registering the low-order device unless the low-order device being the transmission source of the report is registered as the result of judgement and an announcing means for announcing the contents of the fault as the result of judgement when the low-order device being the transmission source of the report is registered or after it is registered. |
