PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a position of a muffler outlet face of a muffler cutter to be changed easily by providing an extension pipe connected to a downstream end portion of a muffler tail pipe in the tubular muffler cutter. SOLUTION: In a muffler cutter 10, an extension pipe 16 connected to a downstream end portion 8b of a muffler tail pipe 8 is provided. Therefore, when the muffler cutter 10 is installed to the muffler tail pipe 8 by a tightening mechanism 26, a distance L between a gas outlet face 16c of the extension pipe 16 and a muffler outlet face 10c of the muffler cutter 10 can be made longer. As a result, the muffler cutter can be applied to various bumper shapes of individual vehicles, and thus a muffler and the muffler tail pipe 8 are commonized as well as appearance is improved. Also, since a distance C between a connecting point A between the downstream end portion 8b of the muffler tail pipe 8 and an upstream end portion 16a of the extension pipe 16, and a connecting point B where a bolt 32 is positioned is large, inertia moment is reduced and vibration of the muffler cutter 10 can be suppressed effectively.
