PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with announcing the state that a lid is not completely closed even if the lid appears to be closed for a user and to eliminate unnecessary announcement with a tableware washing machine for executing washing of tableware. SOLUTION: An aperture of a washing tank having the aperture is covered by the lid. A first lid open detecting means 24a and a second lid open detecting means 24b detect that the lid is open. A control means 26 successively controls a series of the operation and judges that the opening of the lid is abnormal when the outputs of the first lid open detecting means 24a and the second lid open detecting means 24b attain the mingling of the lid open state and the lid close state. The lid open abnormality is then announced by an announcing means 30.
