PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having improved workability in assembling of a belt drive device and in changing of an endless belt, in a structure for regulating biasing of the endless belt by making use of rotational torque of the endless belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a plurality of rollers including a variable roller 2 laid with a running endless belt 3, having a displaceable end, a biasing detecting rotational body 5 rotationally driven by the endless belt 3, a displacing means 7 for displacing the variable roller 2 when the endless belt 3 rotates the biasing detecting rotational body 5, a first support member 11 for rotatably supporting the variable roller 2, and an assembling unit for unitizing the biasing detecting rotational body 5 and the first support member 11 so that they may be detachable from a belt drive device main body.
