PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove sediment in the inside of a sewerage by communicating sediment removing passages provided with a pump, and transferring a matter in the inside of the pipe of the sewerage to the other part of the inside of the sewerage. SOLUTION: A laterally cut part 7 is installed at a deeper position than the bottom part 4 of a river 3 to make an inverted culvert 5 projected downward. The upstream end 10 of a sediment removing pipe passage 9 is communicated with the bottom part of the laterally cut part 7 on a boundary with the rise part 8 of the laterally cut part 7, and a downstream end 11 is communicated with the sewerage 1 of downstream from the inverted subsoil part 5. Next, a pump 12 is operated by remote-control, particularly, the sewage and sediment of the downstream part of the laterally cut part 7 are extracted to the pipe passage 9, and supplied to the part of the downstream side sewerage 1 from the inverted culvert 5. Thereby, the sediment in the sewerage 1 can be simply removed by dispensing with labor such as manhole working at a low cost.
