PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground anchor with excellent working efficiency by preventing a local excessive stress from occurring in the ground anchor to uniformly distribute the stress. SOLUTION: A polyethylene sheath for a wire 11 is removed from an unbonded PC steel to form a fixing part, an unbonded part 13 is inserted into a steel pipe 41 having irregular ribs 42 on its surface forming an arresting body, and high strength grout as filler is filled into the pipe. The filler 3 tending to be deformed by a tensioning force is arrested by the steel pipe 41, and the strength of the filler 3 is increased more than that in the state of not being arrested. As a result, the wire 11 from the PC steel is firmly formed integrally with the filler 3, the steel pipe 41 itself becomes a load resisting body 4, an a stress distribution uniform in longitudinal direction of the load resisting body 4 can be obtained in accompany with the action of the irregular ribs 42, thus preventing the grout from being cracked.
