PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a metal bar having projections capable of cutting the metal bar with high accuracy from the boundary part of the worked projection unit. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a metal strip, having projections in which a metal strip 5 is passed between a pair of work rollers 1a, 1b where projection worked portions 2a, 2b and projection non-worked portions 3a, 3b are alternately formed in the axial direction, and the worked projection units based on the projection worked portions 2a, 2b are alternately formed on face and back sides in the width direction of the metal strip 5, tips of the non-worked portions 3a, 3b are adjacent to each other between the work rollers 1a, 1b by setting the outside diameter of the non-worked portions 3a, 3b to be larger than the outside diameter of the projection worked portions 2a, 2b, the metal strip 5 is cut by the edge portions 6 and 7, 8 and 9, and 10 and 11 of the adjacent tips to manufacture metal strips having projections.
