PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To doubly use a thread guide regulation guide with an initial thread guard guide, to improve initial thread guard workability and to reduce positional adjustment. SOLUTION: A thread guide regulation guide 15 can take a retreating position not to interfere with a fully wound-up bobbin in the middle of winding, a thread passing position to be engaged with a thread passing filament at the time of initial thread guarding and a thread guarding position to thread-guard a filament on a vacant bobbin, the thread guide regulation guide 15 can be used as an initial thread guard guide at the time of initial thread guarding and it can be used as the thread guide regulation guide 15 at the time of normal taturret on a revolving type automatic winder devised to bear a plural number of bobbin holders 3, 4 to install the bobbins on a turret table provided in a unit case free to rotate, to wind up the filament by changing the bobbin installed on one of the bobbin holders over to the bobbin installed on another bobbin when the filament wound up on the bobbin installed on the one bobbin reaches specified quantity and to insert a yarn guide and the yarn guide regulation guide 15 in a clearance between the bobbin of the aforementioned one bobbin holder and the bobbin of the other bobbin holder so that their respective head end parts are accumulated on each other with a specified interval at the time of changing- over.
